Let's face it: the average person in the US uses 100 gallons of water every day - and as the US EPA notes, 100 gallons equals near 1,600 glasses. Multiply that by the number of people in your family, and that is a LOT of water!

Of course there are many websites dedicated to educating Americans about water conservation and usage, with tips and facts that will help you learn to conserve water and save money in the process. So why not make learning fun? The US EPA has a great online game to educate both you and your families, featuring characters such as Drainiac and Sogosaurus.

Your score is based on how well you answer the questions - test your water sense!

You might be ineterested to know that in the 1800s, Mr. Thomas Crapper was a hard-working plumber and entrepreneur. His many inventions and innovations within the plumbing industry helped to develop the modern day luxury of the toilet. It's no wonder why his name is still referenced today, over two hundred years later.

World Water Day is celebrated internationally on March 22, 2010. Organizations and individuals across the world volunteer and donate to improve the living conditions of communities around the world. World Water Day also raises awareness of death and disease caused by unclean drinking water.

World Water Day, celebrated annually on March 22, was established by the United Nations in 1992 and focuses attention on the world's water crisis, as well as the solutions to address it." - waterday.org

No Tolerance Policy: Are plumbing violations on your plumber's record?

Audit of the State Board for Licensing and Regulation Reveals Concern for Homeowners
A recent audit of the State Board for the Licensing and Regulation of Plumbers Board revealed surprising insufficiencies and inadequacies in Board's lack of management controls. The Board's mission is to protect and imporve the general health and welfare of New Hampshire's citizens in the field of environmental sanitation through licensing plumbers, inspection and investigation, enforcement of the State Plumbing Code, and discipline (RSA 329-A:1, B-1.1). However, findings including weaknesses in following process and procedure should concern homeowners. Read complete audit results here
